The TABCG Berkshire Bird Race.
In 2000 the TABCG re-started the yearly event of bird racing, It involves all 3 members of each team seeing or hearing as many species of bird in Berkshire during a 24 hour period. The current record stands at an amazing 121 set on May 12th 1990 by Andy Swash, Steve Abbott, Neil Bucknell and Ian Collins and equalled by Fraser Cottington, Adam Bassett and Andy Johnson on May 13th 2006.
It is increasing with popularity and has become a valuable fund raiser aiding many of the local groups.
